Diagnostic Procedures

Our state-of-the-art hospital includes the ability to diagnose a variety of medical conditions.

Radiograph Imaging: Our digital x-ray machine allows us to image a specific area of concern or give us a broad overview of your pet's body to assess changes in organs or bones that can occur over time. We submit all our radiographs to board certified radiologists for review using advanced technology to receive reports as quickly as the same day if needed.

Ultrasound Imaging: Ultrasound is a non-invasive option for evaluating internal organs that provides more detail than radiographs. At Ally Pet Medical Center we use an ultrasound to assist with sterile urine collection from the bladder. This technique also gives us the ability to view any bladder stones or irregularities in the bladder. For full abdominal ultrasound evaluations, we can schedule an appointment for a board certified radiologist to come and perform this detailed diagnostic evaluation on-site at our clinic.

Cardiology: At Ally Pet Medical Center, we have board certified cardiologists who come to our hospital regularly to perform cardiac ultrasounds and specialized diagnostics for your pets as needed. Our doctors can work with you to schedule the appropriate appointments.

In-house Bloodwork: Our in-house diagnostic equipment allows us to run blood panels for fast results within 15 minutes. This can be for pre-surgical procedures, to perform follow-up testing, or for medication screening. In addition, we can diagnose heartworm disease, canine pancreatitis, and perform in-house FeLV and FIV testing for cats.

Microscopic Analysis: We can microscopically evaluate a variety of samples in-house to check for yeast, bacteria, mites, or cells to quickly and efficiently diagnose problems and help assist in making decisions to best treat your pet. This includes ear swabs to check for ear infections, fine needle aspirates of masses, or sampling skin to check for diseases.

Diagnosis of Eye Diseases: We have the ability to detect corneal ulcers as well as a wide variety of other eye diseases using our in-house equipment to get you the answers we need to treat your pet.
